Get your heart rate up and get moving on these weekly walks that are guided and self paced. Registration is required through the City of Beavercreek Parks & Registration. Pumpkin Glow

Hobson Freedom Park (2910 Trebein Rd, Fairborn) will be filled with the flickering glow of 2,000 pumpkins lit for the annual Pumpkin Glow. Enjoy the park at night and search for funny faces, cute animals, scary creatures and more at this family-friendly event. Kids, come in your favorite Halloween costume as you will be able to trunk-or-treat your way through our pumpkin glow. Don't want to wear a costume, wear something to stand out in the new black light area. This event runs both Friday and Saturday evening from 7pm-10pm and has plenty of parking for thousands!

--First 100 kids each night will receive a free gift.
--Food vendor with tasty treats (fee)

Recycling Center Tour

Lee Eltzroth of Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District will lead a tour of the Montgomery County recycling center for our group. If you would like to ride in the county van please RSVP to Kathrine before the tour. You can also meet us at the recycling center or follow us from the Nature Center. We will stop for lunch on our way back so bring money along. Please let us know by 11/8 if you plan to join us for lunch.

Bring the whole family for this annual event that captures and celebrates the spirit of the season. Admission is free but a $1 per person suggested donation is appreciated.

Follow the soft glow of luminaries in the snow...
Enjoy the calmness of the woods in winter on the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. Hot chocolate and holiday treats will be available for those participating in the hike. This is a self-guided hike along a luminary lit trail.

Need a little more beekeeping instruction? This class is for those who already have hives or have taken our beginning workshop. We will answer some of the questions and concerns you have experienced, provide additional information for healthier and more productive hives as well as discuss harvesting the honey. Beginning Beekeeping

Interested in learning about beekeeping? During this six-week class, participants will learn everything from equipment (what is needed and what is not), setting up hives, bee pests, products of the hive and much more. Interested class participants will have the opportunity to order equipment from a major bee supply company (not required). Placing a group order will result in significant savings.
