The Greene Trails Cycling Classic is back but this time it is the Weekend Edition! We are taking the ride back to its original intent...to support the local businesses along the trail corridor.
Your adventure will begin with your arrival on Thursday where you can enjoy the comfort of a local hotel or bed and breakfast or snag a camping spot at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Expo Center (937)372-8621. Sorry, there will not be camping on the same property as in years past.
Over the course of Friday and Saturday, riders will be able to choose from several rides including a Century ride, a Metric Century ride, and others. One option will be a casual ride to the Village of Yellow Springs where riders can enjoy local eateries and artisan stores before visiting the world famous Young's Jersey Dairy for ice cream.
As always, our Trail Sentinel team will be out and about patrolling the trails if there are any issues.
Join our team Saturday evening, 7 pm, at the Fairgrounds Recreation Center large shelter for a ride celebration complete with picnic style foods and awards for those that completed one of the Century Rides. Please bring along a blanket or chairs.
As this marks the end of the official event, you are more than welcome to stay and enjoy more of the "World's Longest Paved Trail Network" on your own.
Each rider will receive a welcome bag complete with a t-shirt, ride snacks, reusable water bottle, event/area information and a bike path map.
Happy trails to you...
***Dinner on Saturday is the only meal provided. All other meals, including breakfasts, will be at the expense of the registrants. Standard rest stops will not be provided, we ask that you support the local trail towns for a quick beverage and snack****
