Night Ride: Xenia Station to Spring Valley

Join the GCP&T Trail Sentinels for a moonlight ride along the region's bike trails. GCP&T Trail Sentinels are an elite volunteer group who patrol the trails and coordinate several cycling events. All night riders must be 18 and older, wear a helmet and have lights on their bikes. Rides will be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm.

Geocache Night Adventure

Gather your friends, a flashlight and either a smartphone or a GPS and spend an evening hunting for Big Foot. Evidence and clues will lead you on multiple of adventures. Three trails will be set up in two different parks - total of six trails. Pick up your beginning coordinates and glow bracelets from the naturalist at each park. Is Big Foot hiding in one of the parks - you be the judge!

Volunteer Training- Covered Bridges of Greene County

Learn more about the history of Greene County on this early Autumn tour. Enjoy the beginnings of the leaf change and the cooler Autumn air. We will be stopping in Yellow Springs for lunch after our tour. Space is limited to current volunteers.

Selfie Scavenger Hunt - Indian Mound Reserve

Do you like a challenge? Like to solve mysteries or puzzles? Each month we will pick a different park. Greene County Parks & Trails Facebook page will provide a sheet of places and things found throughout the park. Participants must take a selfie at each place or with each thing. Download the selfies and turn in the sheet showing how many you have found. Prizes will be given for completing the scavenger hunt. Prizes can be picked up at the park office between the 5th and 25th of each month. So head out to the park with your family or friends and enjoy the hunt.

Full Moon Night Hike - Hunter's Moon

As autumn settles in, natures night sounds magnify in this cool crisp air. Join a naturalist for a hike to the Adena mound. Listen for the nocturnal animals, those that are scurrying under the fallen leaves along with bats and owls.

Ladies Night Out - Pine Needle Baskets

Ladies, it is time for a night out with the girl friends. Relax, unwind, come in your pajamas if you like. Learn how to make a basket out of pine needles. All of the wooden bases, needle and sinew will be provided. If you would like to add decorations, beads or charms you are welcome to bring those. Light refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is required by September 30.

Covered Bridges of Western Ohio

The farm fields and rolling hills are alight with Autumn splendor. Enjoy these stunning views and the covered bridges of western Ohio on this day long field trip. Enjoy the architecture of the bridge and learn more about its history. Some walking is required-minimal. We will be stopping at Eaton Place Restaurant for lunch - included in your registration fee. Cameras are recommended. Pre-registration is required by October 11.

Open Schooling Day - Twin Towers

Open schooling will offer dressage arenas set with letters, stadium jump course and cross country course complete with water jump and bank complex. Cost is per horse per day. Event is held rain or shine and will be canceled due to thunderstorms. Stabling is available but limited. Cost per stall is $10 each and can be reserved by calling (937)562-6440.
NOTE: PRIOR TO MOUNTING YOUR HORSE, ALL RIDERS PLEASE SIGN IN WITH REGISTRATION. IF REGISTERING ON SITE- A COMPLETION OF A REGISTRATION FORM AND PAYMENT MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN SCHOOLING ACTIVITIES.
